Kaya Jones is a Canadian-born singer, songwriter, and producer. Growing up in Las Vegas, by age 16 she had signed with Capitol Records, and in 2003 auditioned and was selected from thousands of other singers for a coveted spot with one of the most popular girl groups in history.
The Pussycat Dolls was one of the most popular girl groups in history having sold more than 15 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide. The Pussycat Dolls rapidly expanded to include a Las Vegas show, merchandise, reality television programs and product endorsements, making them one of the most recognizable and bestselling music brands of the decade. Jones was one of the founding members and closely involved with the development of the group’s sound and style.
She performed with and/or was mentored by celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Dr. Dre, Bono, Britney Spears, Mick Jagger, Backstreet Boys and more.
During the era she had a transformation in Christ. Kaya is now speaking out boldly about her faith and about how women in the industry are really being treated and exploited. She continues to have a successful musical career and is a successful entrepreneur who is involved with numerous projects, including her latest Grammy Award in 2019 for a collaboration with gospel artist, Jason Crabb, and a new gospel album of her own releasing in 2023.
